Star CJ Alive introduces Cash on Delivery on its website

Mumbai, 5th Oct, 2012: Star CJ Alive will be introducing cash on delivery on StarCJ.com for the products available on Star CJ Alive. All products which are aired on the channel and present on the website shall have Cash on Delivery as an option for making payment.

Commenting on the same, spokesperson, Mr. Shin said, “With e-commerce growing at a fast-pace, the cash on delivery system is an important part of any organizations business, when it’s a business to consumer model.  We want our customers to know that they have flexibility in terms of payment options. Having said that, we are also introducing an additional incentive in the form of STAR CJ Points if they make an online payment by credit cards / net banking”. 

Star CJ plans to open the COD option only on products which are also shown on STAR CJ alive, the Home shopping channel from the same group. However, they plan to introduce COD option for payments on all products in the near future.

Star CJ’s decision is based on the observation that customers are wary about paying for a product or service without actually touching it. It is also an easier mode of transaction for many as they do not have access to electronic means of payment. On the whole this will enable, increase the market size and penetration substantially.
